External link for Collections

Tag and display external links so they can appear in Collections and the state’s open data listing view.

Why use this content type?

External links for Collections expand the content options within a Collection by allowing you to tag links found outside Mass.gov.

This content type cannot be used in conjunction with any other content types. It is not needed for standard external links that appear elsewhere on the site.

Required & optional fields in the CMS

Title

Required. The link text that will display.

URL

Required. The link to a resource external to Mass.gov.

Description

Required. Expand on the text in the title.

Organization(s)

Required. The state organization or organizations associated with the content.

Collections

The Collection or Collections where the external link should appear. If you wish to add content to a Collection you must select at least 1 Collection. You also can check 1 or more Topic within that Collection.
