⚠ Dec. 5, 2019, 11:25 a.m. A new visually appealing content type called the Promotional page has been released that’s designed to support marketing, educational, recruiting and awareness efforts. Promotional pages are intended to be published for a short time period serve as a simple introduction to time-limited information and typically feature a primary call to action.
CMS users will not be able to publish a Promotional page until after they have come by for an Office Hours meeting to receive training on all the features that are packed into this content type.

⚠ Nov.25, 2019, 4 p.m. — In a month we will begin removing page Revisions older than 14 months from the CMS in order to improve the speed and performance of the CMS.

⚠ Nov.22, 2019, 6 a.m. — In response to the feedback we have heard, a Leadership Dashboard has been released where you can find web analytics about multiple pages of content without looking up each individual page. You can also compare this data across several different organizations.

⚠ Oct. 31, 3 p.m. —Mass Digital released a beta version of an interactive tool called the Decision Tree (Beta), which gives organizations a way to build a flow chart for services on Mass.gov. The Decision Tree (Beta) presents visitors with a series of choices such as “Yes/No” until a conclusion is reached.

⛔ Sept. 13, 2:30 p.m. — There are some issues when a user adds a document directly to a Curated List. While this issue is being resolved, please *add the document* into the CMS first and then click add document when you're in the Curated list.

⚠ Sept. 4, 8 a.m. — The module that manages Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA, a.k.a. TFA) was updated on Tuesday evening, Sept. 3. You will now need to reset your MFA and generate new recovery codes.
⛔ Aug. 14, 9:05 a.m. — The Analytics Dashboards (Beta) will be down between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. today while we add new metrics and implement minor fixes. Need data? Submit a ServiceNow request and we’ll be happy to assist you.

✔ Aug. 13, 11:09 a.m. — Over the weekend we released a new version of an old metric: Action rate by device type. The Analytics Dashboards (Beta) were unavailable during the release but are now back online.
⚠ Aug. 30, 2:30 p.m. — We announced that the module that manages Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA, a.k.a. TFA) will be updated on Tuesday evening, Sept. 3, and will require you to reset your MFA on or after Sept. 4 and generate new recovery codes.

✔ July 24, 2:30 p.m. — We previously reported 2 separate issues affecting the CMS. Both of these issues have been fixed:
Some users reported experiencing an error message when trying to edit Contact Information, preventing them from accessing the content and making revisions.This issue has been fixed and all Contact Information should be accessible.
Several users reported documents or links to the Additional Resources section or links to the Related Services section on Service pages weren’t appearing on the public-facing page. This issue was fixed yesterday, July 23, and all links or documents added to these sections should be displaying properly.

⚠ July 23, 4:28 p.m. — We previously reported 2 separate issues affecting the CMS:
Several users reported documents or links in the Additional Resources section or links in the Related Services section on Service pages weren’t appearing on the public-facing page. This issue has been fixed and all links or documents added to these sections should be displaying properly.
Some users reported experiencing an error message when trying to edit Contact Information, preventing them from accessing the content and making revisions. We’ve found the cause of this issue and are working to release a fix soon.

1. Several users have reported issues adding documents or links to the Additional Resources section or links to the Related Services section on Service pages. If links or documents are added to these sections, they don’t display on the public-facing page.
2. Some users have reported experiencing an error message when trying to edit Contact Information, preventing them from accessing or editing the content.
We’re investigating these issues and will provide updates when more information is available.

✔ July 12, 1:12 p.m. — We previously reported an issue where the CMS was displaying duplicate content on the All content and My content views. This issue has now been resolved.
⛔ July 12, 9:02 a.m. — There is a known issue where users are seeing duplicate content in the CMS on the All content and My content pages. Some content displays twice with different scores. We’re working on resolving the issue and will provide updates once a fix is released.
You can edit and update either copy as long as the node IDs are the same (these can be found in the "ID" column on the My content or All content pages). Any changes you make to one version will apply to both.

⛔ July 9, 11:12 a.m. — There is a known issue where users are seeing duplicate content in the CMS on the All content and My content pages. Some content displays twice with different scores. We’re currently investigating the issue and will provide updates as we learn more.
At this time, we recommend not setting any duplicate content to unpublished or moving it to the trash.

✔ July 8, 4:10 p.m. — We previously reported an issue affecting some content types where the CMS wouldn’t recognize an entry in the Organization(s) field causing an error message. This issue has been fixed.

⛔ July 3, 3:26 p.m. — We’re aware of an issue affecting some content types where the CMS is not recognizing an entry in the Organization(s) field and displays the following error message: “1 error has been found: Organization(s) (value 1),” preventing the page from saving. We'll let you know when we plan to release a fix.

✔ July 2, 11:13 a.m. — We previously reported an issue with a part of our technical infrastructure, Cloudflare, that prevented access to Mass.gov, edit.mass.gov, and various other websites across the internet. Cloudflare announced that this issue has now been resolved and services are operating normally.

⛔ July 2, 10:08 a.m. — There is a known performance issue with Cloudflare, part of our technical infrastructure, preventing access to Mass.gov, edit.mass.gov, and various other websites across the internet.
This issue is beyond our control but we’ll let you know as soon as more information is available.

✔ Tuesday, June 25, 4:06 p.m. — UPDATE: The Analytics Dashboards (Beta) improvement updates are complete and all dashboards are now functional.

⚠ Tuesday, June 25, 9:13 a.m. — UPDATE: The Analytics Dashboards (Beta) improvement updates are expected to be complete by end of day Tuesday, June 25. We will add back each dashboard — overall, findability, outcomes, content quality, and user satisfaction — as they come online throughout the day.
Once the update is complete, the Mass.gov team will communicate that all dashboards are available.

✔ June 20, 9:38 a.m. — We previously reported an issue preventing Mass.gov from displaying Google Maps. This issue has now been fixed and all maps are displaying correctly.

✔ June 14, 10:40 a.m. — We previously reported a performance issue while publishing content on the CMS. This issue has now been fixed.
⚠ June 14, 10 a.m. — We’re aware of some performance issues while publishing content on the CMS. This sometimes leads to an error message that prevents content from being published. We’ve found the issue and plan to release a fix shortly.
We will provide an update once the fix is released.
May 31, 2019
⚠ May 31, 1:37 p.m. — UPDATE: We previously reported an issue of extreme slowness in edit.mass.gov. We’ve fixed some of these issues and you should now be able to login to the CMS and create, edit, and save content.
However, we’re still working to fix performance issues on the My Content view. This will remain unavailable as we continue our work. This also means the Needs Attention and My Content views are currently not displayed on the author landing page.
⛔ May 31, 11:05 a.m. — We’ve received multiple reports of slowness on edit.mass.gov. Users are unable to access or save content. Please note that there is no effect on the public-facing mass.gov at this time.
We are investigating the cause of this issue and will update you once we have more information.

✔ May 25, 1:03 p.m. — Our content moderation update is complete and you may resume creating or editing content.
May 24, 2019
⚠ May 24, 1 p.m. — Tonight we plan to release an edit.mass.gov update that will start at 5pm today and last until early Saturday afternoon. Any changes made during this time will be lost once the update is complete. We recommend not creating or updating content in the CMS during this time unless absolutely necessary. If you do edit content during this time, you will need to duplicate your work once the process is complete. This downtime is limited to edit.mass.gov and won’t affect the public-facing Mass.gov.

⚠ May 22, 11:40 a.m. — Yesterday we reported an issue with saving and publishing content. Some users experienced a CAPTCHA security check that prevented them from saving or publishing their content. The fix we released requires additional refinement because some of our authors and editors continue to experience the same issue.
If you see the CAPTCHA screen while saving or publishing your page, please wait 30 minutes and try to save or publish your content again.

✔ May 21, 11:02 a.m. — We previously reported an issue where users experienced a CAPTCHA security check, preventing them from saving or publishing content. This issue has now been fixed.
⛔ May 21, 10:25 a.m. — We’ve received multiple reports of users experiencing CAPTCHA security checks while trying to save or publish content. When users attempt to check the box and move forward, they can’t, preventing them from saving their work.
We are investigating the cause of this issue and will update you once we have more information.

✔ April 26, 10:56 a.m. — We previously reported an issue where headings for 3-column sections of Guides weren’t displaying properly. This issue has now been fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

⚠ April 25, 4:12 p.m. — This afternoon we experienced some performance issues in edit.mass.gov. For approximately 25 minutes, some users reported slow load times. The system returned to normal at approximately 2:40 p.m. There was no disruption to the public-facing Mass.gov website during this time.

⚠ April 23, 4:56 p.m. — We recently discovered an issue with headings of the 3 column section on Guides. Each column displays the heading “Column 1 heading,” “Column 2 heading,” and “Column 3 heading” instead of the headings authors entered.

This means a majority of your content may be unavailable within the tool. We have escalated the situation to Siteimprove and will provide an update once we know more about the cause.

✔ Feb. 28, 2:15 p.m. — We previously reported users experiencing performance issues while editing content in the CMS. This issue has now been fixed.
✔ Feb. 28, 12:40 p.m. — Yesterday we reported an issue causing imprecise data and scores to appear in the Analytics Dashboards (Beta).
This issue is now fixed and all data and scores are displaying accurately.

⚠ Feb. 27, 5:04 p.m. — We are experiencing some performance issues in Edit.mass.gov. We have isolated the issue causing this and are working toward a fix. We’ll let you know as soon as the fix is released.
⛔ Feb. 27, 12:29 p.m. — This morning we discovered an issue causing some imprecise data and scores found in the Analytics Dashboards (Beta). We’re performing maintenance today to fix these issues, during which you may notice some inaccurate data and scores in the Analytics Dashboards and the "All Content" view in the CMS. All dashboard scores and data should return to normal by end of day tomorrow, Feb. 28.

✔ Feb. 8, 11:25 a.m. — Yesterday we reported a known issue displaying pageviews for multiple content types on the All Content page in the CMS. All content types except Service, Service Detail, and How-to pages were inaccurately displaying 0 under the "Pageviews (1 month)" column.
This issue is now fixed and pageviews are displaying accurately for all content types.

⛔ Feb. 7, 1:15 p.m. — There is an issue displaying pageviews for multiple content types on the All Content page in the CMS. All content types except Service, Service Detail, and How-to pages are inaccurately displaying 0 under the "Pageviews (1 month)" column. You can still access the correct number of pageviews by visiting the Analytics tab from a specific page.
We’re currently investigating the issue. We’ll let you know as soon as the fix is released.

✔ Jan. 28, 1:20 p.m. — Last November, we discovered a technical issue causing errors in the scores displayed in the Analytics Dashboards (Beta) and the “All Content” view in the CMS. Since then, these tools have shown data from Oct. 1-31 and May-Oct. 2018, the most recent date ranges with accurate scores.
We’re happy to announce the dashboards are now working again. You’ll see scores based on data from the last 4 weeks and the last 6 full months.
