Overview

This document outlines the metrics found in the HRD telework content dashboard, the context for each metric, and why these metrics matter to the intended audience consuming the dashboard. This document serves as a history of the changes made, and describes the "trail map" of future enhancements and fixes.

Dashboard Audience

This dashboard is primarily used by EOTSS and HRD’s senior leadership.

Metrics and Context

This dashboard's main purpose is to provide insight on state employee interactions with telework content created by HRD on both Mass.gov and in Gitbook. Below, you can find the metrics for each page in the dashboard, along with the context designed for this dashboard's audience

This line chart depicts the number of visits and pageviews to HRD telework content on Mass.gov over time.

Mass.gov Knowledge Base telework content

This line chart depicts the number of visits and pageviews to HRD telework content on the Knowledge Base over time.

Context

These graphs show the daily cumulative traffic to HRD telework content across Mass.gov and the Gitbook knowledge base. This information helps show how many people access telework content and lets the audience know about spikes or downturns in traffic volumes. You can filter by date and by page.

Context

The purposes of these tables are to show which content/pages are viewed the most. They reveal areas that consumers of this information are particularly interested in. For example, one business problem HRD uses this to answer is which content they need to put more effort into -- or less.

Clicks from Mass.gov to external applications/sites

This table shows the total number of clicks from the HRD Telework content on Mass.gov to Gitbook knowledge base pages. (Technically, it would also show clicks to any other outbound links, but at the time of writing, there are none except for the Gitbook links.)

Context

This chart helps HRD understand more clearly where on Mass.gov users are transferring over to Gitbook. This may help them determine how to revise or maintain the Mass.gov portion of their teleworking content.
